Choose a common battery size (or enter custom):
For more backup, multiple batteries of the same voltage are connected in parallel (Ah adds up). To build a 24V/48V bank, batteries are connected in series. In that case, keep "Number of Batteries" at 1 and enter the bank's total Ah.

Formula: Backup time = (battery Ah × system voltage × depth of discharge × inverter efficiency) ÷ (load in watts). Tubular/lead-acid batteries default to 50% depth of discharge and 85% efficiency (protects battery life); Lithium (LiFePO4) defaults to 85% depth of discharge and 92% efficiency.
Appliance wattages reflect 2026 Pakistani-market averages: modern DC inverter ACs and inverter refrigerators draw significantly less than older non-inverter models, which is why both are listed separately. Actual draw varies by brand and model, so check the nameplate rating for your customer's exact appliance where possible.
Solar sizing assumes 5.5 average peak sun hours/day, 80% system derate (wiring/dust/temperature losses), 550W panels, and inverter sized 25% above connected load (rounded to standard sizes). Monthly savings assume PKR 45/unit, adjust for your customer's actual WAPDA tariff slab.
